Amy Winehouse pleads guilty

Amy Winehouse at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court, PA Amy Winehouse has pleaded guilty to charges of common assault and disorder at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court.

The Rehab singer has admitted to assaulting a theatre manager at a Christmas pantomime last month in Milton Keynes. Amy lashed out at Richard Pound during a performance of Cinderella on December 19. She was arrested on December 23.

District judge Peter Crabtree told the 26-year-old: "Mr Pound is a person whose job involves interaction with the public. If he’s assaulted he deserves the court’s protection. In this case it’s obvious that alcohol played its part."

Amy has been given a two year conditional discharge, and also has to pay £85 costs. She has also been ordered to pay £100 to Mr Pound in compensation.
