Paul McCartney to play 100 Club

Yes, you read that correctly. Sir Paul McCartney, the most popular songwriter of all time (according to the Guinness Book of Records), is set to play one of the most intimate shows of his 50-year career this Friday lunchtime at the 100 Club in London. Having spent the last year playing enormo-domes around the globe, Macca is bringing things right back to basics for what will be the smallest paying audience he’s played to since the Cavern Club gig in 1999.

You’re going to have to move VERY quickly but tickets are available for purchase from 10am tomorrow morning by calling the National 24hr ticket hotline on 08442 48 50 77 or online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk. Tickets are strictly limited to two per person and can’t be bought from the venue box office.

Speaking about the show, Sir Paul himself has said: “I’ve played all sorts of different venues over the years and this kind of show presents a different kind of challenge to performing in a stadium. I love performing and I love connecting with audiences, be it in a stadium or arena or in a club. I’m looking forward to being able to interact with fans on a face to face basis, not to mention the smell of sweat and beer!”

Best of luck with those tickets.
