Katie Price to release debut solo single

Katie Price has been a model, a businesswoman, a mother and a TV star and now she is to become a recording artist.

The 32-year-old announced she will be releasing her debut solo single next month via her Twitter page: “I can at last reveal my first solo single is out Monday 12 July. I love the tune and hope you guys do too xxx.”

This isn’t the first time she has dabbled in the music industry. Back in 2005 she was in the running to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest for the United Kingdom, and she had an album with her ex-husband Peter Andre entitled A Whole New World. However, those attempts to get her foot in the musical door failed, after the album debuted in the charts at number 20 and her Eurovision dream came to an end after losing out to Javine.

Will she succeed this time around?

Lady Gaga ‘borderline positive’ for lupus

She’s the world’s biggest pop star, she wears the craziest outfits ever and she is currently embarking on a huge world tour, so you’d be forgiven for assuming Lady Gaga is indestructible. However, she has recently shed light on the family disease that she may have too.

Last week, Lady Gaga admitted to The Times that her aunt died of lupus, and that she herself also has suffered from “heart palpitations” and “fatigue”. Fans have been worried about the Bad Romance singer, but in an interview with CNN’s Larry King, she said she “doesn’t show any of the signs of the disease”.

However, she revealed she has been “tested borderline positive for the disease” but claims she takes good care of herself.

The American star, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has previously stated she would rather “die on stage” than leave it because she felt ill. She recently collapsed on stage in New Zealand, but refused to leave.

Brittany Murphy’s widower found dead

Simon Monjack has died just five months after the tragic death of his wife Brittany Murphy.

The emergency services rushed to his house in the Hollywood Hills last night and tried to resuscitate the 39-year-old, but all attempts failed. He had previously suffered a heart attack, but his cause of death is currently unknown.

The British director was married to actress Brittany, who starred in the movies Clueless and 8 Mile. She died in December last year due to a combination of prescription drugs, anaemia and pneumonia. Her death was declared an accident.

Rachel Stevens is expecting!

Rachel Stevens has delighted her fans with the news she is expecting her first child with husband Alex Bourne.

In an official statement from their representative, their happy news was announced:

“We are delighted to announce that Rachel Stevens and her husband Alex are expecting their first baby later this year.”

The singer added that she and Alex are “thrilled and so excited about becoming parents”.

The couple now have an extra reason to celebrate at their first wedding anniversary in August. Congratulations!

Russell and Rossy to reunite

Jonathan Ross is reportedly ending his time at the BBC by having Russell Brand on his sofa for a chinwag.

The final episode of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross will be recorded on 17 June, and the pair will no doubt be discussing their infamous radio incident, better known as Sachsgate.

In 2008 Jonathan and Russell received thousands of complaints after performing a prank on Russell’s radio show. The presenters phoned Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs and left a message on his machine, sharing lewd details of Russell’s fling with his granddaughter Georgina Baillie. Jonathan was suspended for three months and Russell moved to LA.

Jonathan is leaving the BBC after a 13-year run – at least he can end it with a bang!

Katy Perry tops Maxim Hot 100 list

Katy Perry might be about to tie the knot with Russell Brand, but that hasn’t stopped her grabbing the top spot in the Maxim 2010 Hot 100 list.

The iconic magazine, which released an annual list of the hottest celeb females, has said of Katy: “The perfect Perry first caught our attention in 2008 with her smash hit, I Kissed a Girl, and we liked it. Yeah, we were more than OK with Katy’s kiss-and-tell attitude and the bi-curious beauty has been on our radar ever since.”

The 41-year-old singer was snapped bravely wearing underwear covered by a stringy top and matching white boots while filming the video for her new single All The Lovers. She gave lucky onlookers in Los Angeles a glimpse at her enviable figure and perfect bottom, which were on show thanks to her revealing outfit.

Jude and Sienna: it’s official!

Jude Law and Sienna Miller have been dating again for a while, but they chose last night’s Costume Institute Gala in New York to make their first public appearance together.

Their relationship has been slightly under the radar since Christmas, but we all knew what was going on! The A-list couple reunited after they were both in New York starring in separate Broadway shows, and they were also spotted on holiday together at the end of last year.

The couple, who were engaged a few years ago, initially split up in 2005 after Jude’s infidelities with his children’s nanny.

They have both dated other people since their split (Sienna controversially dated married actor Balthazar Getty and Jude had a fling with model Samantha Burke, who has since had his child) but it seems all that is behind them.

The future looks rosy for this reunited celeb couple, and we hope it works out for them this time! Imagine the wedding pictures…

Sandra Bullock files for divorce, adopts baby

Sandra Bullock has filed for divorce from husband Jesse James after reports he cheated on her with several woman.

"Yes, I have filed for divorce," the actress told People magazine. "I’m sad and I am scared."

But it’s also a  happy time for the Oscar winner, as she announced she has adopted a baby boy, three-month-old Louis Bardo Bullock, who was born in New Orleans.

Sandra and Jesse started the adoption process four years ago, but the 45-year-old is now adopting as a single mother.

Jack Tweed cleared of rape charges

Jack Tweed, the widower of Jade Goody, has been cleared of rape charges.

The 22-year-old and his friend Anthony Davis were accused of raping a teenager in September last year, at Tweed’s home in Woodford Green, Essex. Both men had denied the charges.

It took just 15 minutes for the jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London to clear Tweed and Davis of the charges. The 19-year-old student (now 20) claimed the men had forced her to have sex without her consent.
